MHP Dark Matter Supplement Ingredients

This is where I have a lot of question marks on MHP’s Dark Matter supplement. There is no doubt this post workout supplement does its’ job but the proprietary blend still makes me wonder. It eliminates some of the trust I would have if it otherwise did not have a proprietary blend.

The carb to protein ratio, at 75% carb and 25% protein, is not to my liking. The amount of protein is minimal and may be enough for a teenage girl. You will definitely need to supplement with your own protein supplement on top of taking Dark Matter supplement directly after your workout.

Let’s break down this proprietary blend now. Each serving contains 60.7g of Dark Matter, comprised of 48g of carbs and 12g of protein. This leaves 0.7g for their proprietary blend??? Makes no sense to me.

Let’s say MHP puts in the average amount of BCAA’s, not including the free form amino acids in it, in most post workout supplements of around 3g. We will also give them the benefit of the doubt that MHP includes those 3g’s within the 12g’s of protein listed in Dark Matter supplement.

That leaves us with 3.7 g’s for their proprietary blend. This now has to be dispersed between creatine, the rest of the free form amino acids, Prosynthagen, and glycerol monostearate (Contolled Labs Glycergrow). The problem is that each of these ingredients need at least 3g of each to be effective, which totals 9g’s. Leaves me confused.

Anyhow, enough of my rant on proprietary blends, the bottom line is that MHP is doing something right with these ingredients even though they don’t break it down for us. Dark Matter supplement works and is definitely worth its’ price tag, if not more.

If you are an athlete, train on consecutive days, hate being sore the next day, increased strength and lean mass, then Dark Matter supplement is for you.
